They started out as "Belfegor" and released a demo called "The Ancient Gods of Evil" under that name, and then split up.
They reformed in 1997 as Nargoventor, but later changed their name to Azaghal, which is the name of a dwarf king in Tolkien's myth.
Mustamaa is a great album, melodic and epic.
